Professor Marc HIMBERTMr. Brossel, a graduate of the École Normale Supérieure, worked for ten years at the Laboratoire Kastler Brossel as a CNRS researcher in atomic physics, quantum physics and laser physics. He then joined the Conservatoire National des Arts et Métiers in Paris, where he has been director of the Chair of Metrology since 1992 and the Laboratoire Commun de Métrologie (LCM) created in 2008 in partnership with the LNE. It is in his laboratory, in particular, that very high accuracy measurements of the Boltzmann constant k and the Planck constant h were performed prior to the change of definition of international units in 2018-2019. It is important to assure the market that conformity assessment bodies operate on the basis of recognized international standards, and this is the rationale for accreditation and the creation of TUNAC.

The accreditation process establishes, in the public interest, the technical competence and integrity of these organizations. Conformity assessment is the demonstration that the service provided does in fact meet the specified or claimed requirements.

Conformity assessment can be applied to a product, a service, a process, a system, an organization or a person, and includes activities such as testing, inspection or certification. Measurements also play an essential role in building confidence between trading partners and in demonstrating that products conform to written specifications and legal requirements, so connection to the international SI unit system is important and conformity assessment bodies must ensure metrological traceability.

This CAFMET Webinar was an opportunity for TUNAC to share its experiences and review the benefits of accreditation and its importance, the reasons for making it mandatory in certain sectors, as well as the means that must be adopted by conformity assessment bodies to ensure metrological traceability.

 
BIOGRAPHY OF THE SPEAKERS : 

   

 Madam Sonia MADHOUI MELKI is an engineer in food industries. Her professional career began in September 1997 with her recruitment as a production manager and quality management manager in the JOUDA canning factory in Kairouan - Tunisia. Since September 1998, she joined the National Accreditation Council "TUNAC" as a quality management manager. 

 

   

Madam Ghada ALLANI has a degree in Food Industry Engineering with a professional master's degree in Innovation Management. She started her career as an engineer in Allani Sunlife Holding, responsible for the drying of agricultural products. She then joined TUNAC in 2015 as an accreditation manager for food testing laboratories (ISO/IEC 17025) and appointed since 2020 as an accreditation manager for food certification bodies (ISO/IEC 17065). She taught at INSAT (National Institute of Applied Sciences and Technology) the ISO/IEC 17025 standard and ISO 9001 in the framework of a professional master.

Jean-Michel POU

Après 10 ans dans un laboratoire d’étalonnage, passant du poste de technicien d’étalonnage à responsable d’accréditation COFRAC puis directeur général, Jean-Michel POU décide de créer en 1998 sa propre société. DELTAMU s’inscrit depuis toujours dans une vision de la métrologie très différente de celle, historique, qu’il juge pas toujours adaptée par rapport aux besoins industriels. Pour lui, le métrologue doit participer, aujourd’hui plus que jamais, à la performance globale de son entreprise…

Un véritable passionné de métrologie, métier qu’il découvre à la fin de ses études, Jean-Michel POU a décidé de créer la société DELTAMU pour changer les pratiques industrielles. Convaincu qu’il ne suffit pas de vérifier tous les ans les instruments de mesure pour garantir la fiabilité des résultats de mesure, il s’engage pour défendre librement sa vision du métier de métrologue.

A ce jour, Jean-Michel POU participe à la grande révolution 4.0 actuellement en cours dans le monde industriel. Il est notamment Ambassadeur pour la Région Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes de l’Alliance Industrie du Futur et Vice-Président de l’association AURA Industrie 4.0, née de la fusion du cluster d’excellence Auvergne Efficience Industrielle et du pôle de compétitivité Mont-Blanc Industries. Il est également l’un des initiateurs du Mastère© spécialisé labélisé Conférence des Grandes Ecoles et porté par l’école d’ingénieurs SIGMA Clermont : « Data Science pour l’Ingénierie ». Il est par ailleurs directeur associé du consortium Humantodata, spécialisé dans l’accompagnement des industriels dans la révolution numérique.
